Who we are

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat"

Mother Teresa

Wildrose Global Poverty Funds Society is an Alberta based charitable organization that is committed to helping the poor receive health care in Pakistan.

We are running five clinics right now, all located in Pakistan in Tando Jaam, Tando Allayaar, Hyderabad and Karachi. These clinics are running for the poor free of charge. We are treating everything from fevers; Asthma and Eczema, respiratory infection, tuberculosis, malaria, typhoid to Sinusitis and Gastritis, Kidney disorders (especially kidney stones) and Hepatitis C.

In Pakistan, there is a high ratio of poverty, almost 39% according to World Development Indicators. But in some cities, the situation is much worse. The general price level is increasing every day, and the food inflation has been in double digits for the last three years. After every three to four months, the artificial shortage of any necessary food items are created by the producers; some days ago it was of wheat shortage and currently there is a shortage of sugar.

According to Pakistan Health indicators, health funding, health and sanitation infrastructure are generally poor, particularly in rural areas. About 19 percent of the population is malnourished a higher rate than the 17 percent average for developing countries and 30% of children under age five are malnourished. Leading causes of sickness and death include Gastroenteritis, respiratory infections, congenital abnormalities, Tuberculosis, malaria, and typhoid fever.

Our organization was made to help people get by when situations like this comes around. Our charity is doing fundraising to run these clinics which might be the biggest hope for these people.
